Online dietitian consultation

The right diet helps manage diabetes, weight, PCOS, high blood pressure, kidney disease and many other conditions. At VRA Health you can consult a qualified dietitian online for a practical eating plan that fits your health, your food habits and your routine.

Our dietitians

Our nutrition specialists are qualified clinical dietitians:

  • Guda Pallavi – PG Diploma in Nutrition & Dietetics, St. Ann's College
  • Nehha Mahajan – BSc Home Science, MSc Nutrition, Lady Irwin College, University of Delhi

How a dietitian can help

  • Weight loss or healthy weight gain
  • Diet for diabetes and prediabetes
  • PCOS and thyroid-friendly eating
  • High blood pressure and cholesterol
  • Diet for kidney disease and fatty liver
  • Nutrition in pregnancy and while breastfeeding
  • Children's nutrition and fussy eating
  • Vegetarian and Indian meal plans

What an online consultation can and cannot do

It can: assess your current diet, weight history and reports, and give you a personalised meal plan with regular follow-up to adjust it.

It cannot: diagnose medical conditions or change prescription medicines – for those, consult a doctor; the dietitian works alongside your doctor's advice.

How to prepare

  • Your current weight and height (and waist size if possible)
  • Recent blood reports such as sugar, HbA1c, cholesterol, thyroid and kidney tests
  • A typical day of meals and snacks, or a 3-day food diary
  • Any food allergies, preferences or fasting days

Patients outside India

Families abroad often want an Indian dietitian who understands their food. Slot times are shown in your local time zone, you can share reports from any laboratory, and your plan can be adapted to the foods available where you live.

When to go to a hospital instead

Online consultations are not for emergencies. Seek urgent medical care for fainting, severe vomiting or diarrhoea with dehydration, or very high or very low blood sugar. In India call 108 (ambulance) or go to the nearest hospital; abroad, call your local emergency number.

How booking works

  1. Choose a doctor below and pick a slot. Slot times are shown in your own time zone.
  2. The doctor confirms the request, and you pay securely online. The fee is shown on the doctor's profile before you book; patients outside India see it in their own currency.
  3. Join the video call at the booked time from the VRA Health app or your browser.
  4. Download your digital prescription and advice after the consultation.

You can also book on WhatsApp: send "Hi" and follow the steps.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does a dietitian do?

A dietitian assesses your health, reports and eating habits and creates a practical diet plan to manage conditions such as diabetes, obesity, PCOS, blood pressure and kidney disease.

Can I consult a dietitian online?

Yes. Diet counselling works very well online: you share your reports and food habits, and the dietitian gives you a plan and follows up on your progress.

Is a dietitian the same as a doctor?

No. A dietitian is a nutrition specialist. They do not diagnose disease or prescribe medicines, and work alongside your doctor's advice.

Can diet help control diabetes?

Yes. Diet is a core part of diabetes care and can lower blood sugar and HbA1c. Do not change your diabetes medicines without your doctor.

Will I get a plan with Indian foods?

Yes. Plans are built around the foods you eat, including vegetarian and regional Indian meals.

Can patients outside India consult?

Yes. Slot times are shown in your local time zone, and plans can be adapted to foods available abroad.
