Online pulmonologist consultation
Pulmonology is the specialty for the lungs and airways. At VRA Health you can consult a pulmonologist online for a cough that will not settle, asthma or COPD that is not well controlled, breathlessness, snoring and sleep apnoea, allergies, or abnormal chest X-ray and CT reports – from anywhere in India or abroad, without a long hospital wait.
A video consultation works well for reviewing symptoms, reports and inhaler technique, adjusting medicines and planning tests. If the doctor needs to examine you in person or arrange a procedure, they will tell you so clearly.

Both of our lung specialists hold an MD in Pulmonary Medicine with additional fellowship training:

What an online consultation can and cannot do
It can: take a detailed history, review your reports and scans, check how you use your inhaler on camera, adjust or start medicines, plan tests such as spirometry, a sleep study or a CT scan, and give you a written plan.
It cannot: listen to your chest with a stethoscope, measure oxygen levels unless you have a pulse oximeter at home, or perform procedures such as bronchoscopy.
How to prepare
- Recent chest X-ray or CT reports (and images if you have them)
- Spirometry / PFT, sleep study, blood and sputum test reports
- A list or photos of your current medicines and inhalers
- Your oxygen saturation readings if you have a pulse oximeter
Second opinions and patients outside India
Many families use VRA Health for a second opinion before a major decision, or to consult a pulmonologist they trust from abroad. You can share reports, scans and discharge summaries before the call, and the doctor will go through them with you in plain language. Slot times are shown in your local time zone. Medicines prescribed by a doctor in India may need a prescription from a local doctor before a pharmacy outside India will dispense them.
When to go to a hospital instead
Online consultations are not for emergencies. Go to a hospital at once for severe breathlessness, breathlessness at rest, blue lips, chest pain, coughing up more than a little blood, confusion, or an oxygen level below 92%. In India call 108 (ambulance) or go to the nearest hospital; abroad, call your local emergency number.
