What an online consultation can and cannot do
It can: review your symptoms and reports, explain the size and position of a stone and the options, start or adjust medicines, plan tests, and give a second opinion before surgery.
It cannot: perform a physical examination or procedures such as cystoscopy or stone removal – the doctor will tell you when an in-person visit is needed.
How to prepare
- Ultrasound, CT KUB, X-ray and urine test reports
- PSA, kidney function (creatinine) and sugar reports if done
- A simple bladder diary for 2–3 days if you have frequency or leakage
- A list or photos of your current medicines
Second opinions and patients outside India
Many families use VRA Health for a second opinion before a major decision, or to consult a urologist they trust from abroad. You can share reports, scans and discharge summaries before the call, and the doctor will go through them with you in plain language. Slot times are shown in your local time zone. Medicines prescribed by a doctor in India may need a prescription from a local doctor before a pharmacy outside India will dispense them.
When to go to a hospital instead
Online consultations are not for emergencies. Go to a hospital at once for severe stone pain that does not settle with painkillers, pain with fever and chills, inability to pass urine, heavy blood in the urine with clots, or sudden severe pain in a testicle. In India call 108 (ambulance) or go to the nearest hospital; abroad, call your local emergency number.
