Online cardiologist consultation

Cardiology is the specialty for the heart and blood vessels. At VRA Health you can consult a cardiologist online about blood pressure, cholesterol, palpitations, heart failure, follow-up after a heart attack, angioplasty or bypass surgery, or ECG, echo and TMT reports you want explained – from anywhere in India or abroad.

Our cardiologists

Our cardiology team includes DM cardiologists trained at AIIMS Delhi and NIMS Hyderabad, and a pediatric cardiologist for children's heart conditions:

  • Dr. Pavan Teja – DM Cardiology, AIIMS Delhi – heart failure, arrhythmias and preventive cardiology
  • Dr. Vijay Kumar B – DM Cardiology, NIMS Hyderabad
  • Dr. Uma Devi K – DM Pediatric Cardiology, AIIMS Delhi – congenital and acquired heart disease in children
  • Dr. Aditya Bora – MBBS, DNB, PGDCC (Sterling Hospital, Ahmedabad) – clinical cardiology, diabetes and heart health

Been advised angiography or a stent? See interventional cardiology for second opinions on angioplasty and follow-up after a stent.

Conditions we help with

  • High blood pressure that is hard to control
  • High cholesterol and heart-risk assessment
  • Palpitations and irregular heartbeat (including atrial fibrillation)
  • Breathlessness or swelling due to heart failure
  • Follow-up after a heart attack, angioplasty/stent or bypass surgery
  • Chest discomfort that has already been evaluated, and its follow-up
  • Heart valve disease follow-up
  • Heart murmurs and congenital heart disease in children
  • ECG, echo, TMT, Holter and CT coronary angiogram reports

What an online consultation can and cannot do

It can: review your symptoms, BP and sugar readings and reports, adjust medicines, assess your heart risk, plan tests such as an echo or TMT, and explain whether a procedure that has been suggested is needed.

It cannot: examine your heart with a stethoscope, record a new ECG, or manage chest pain that is happening now – that needs a hospital immediately.

How to prepare

  • Recent ECG, echo, TMT and angiogram reports, and discharge summaries
  • Home BP readings for a week (morning and evening) if you have a BP machine
  • Cholesterol, sugar (HbA1c), kidney and thyroid test results
  • A list or photos of your current medicines with doses

Second opinions and patients outside India

Many families use VRA Health for a second opinion before a major decision, or to consult a cardiologist they trust from abroad. You can share reports, scans and discharge summaries before the call, and the doctor will go through them with you in plain language. Slot times are shown in your local time zone. Medicines prescribed by a doctor in India may need a prescription from a local doctor before a pharmacy outside India will dispense them.

When to go to a hospital instead

Online consultations are not for emergencies. Go to a hospital at once for chest pain or pressure lasting more than a few minutes, chest pain with sweating, breathlessness or pain spreading to the arm or jaw, fainting, or a very fast or irregular heartbeat with dizziness. In India call 108 (ambulance) or go to the nearest hospital; abroad, call your local emergency number.

How booking works

  1. Choose a doctor below and pick a slot. Slot times are shown in your own time zone.
  2. The doctor confirms the request, and you pay securely online. The fee is shown on the doctor's profile before you book; patients outside India see it in their own currency.
  3. Join the video call at the booked time from the VRA Health app or your browser.
  4. Download your digital prescription and advice after the consultation.

You can also book on WhatsApp: send "Hi" and follow the steps.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I consult a cardiologist online?

Yes, for most ongoing heart problems: blood pressure, cholesterol, palpitations, heart failure and follow-up after a heart attack, stent or bypass. The cardiologist reviews your readings and reports, adjusts medicines and plans any tests you need.

Is an online consultation safe for chest pain?

No - chest pain happening now needs a hospital, not a video call. Call 108 (or your local emergency number). An online cardiologist can help with follow-up after chest pain has been evaluated.

Can a cardiologist explain my ECG or echo report?

Yes. Upload the report before the call and the cardiologist will explain what it means, whether anything needs treatment, and which further tests, if any, are useful.

Can I get a second opinion before angioplasty or bypass surgery?

Yes. Share your angiogram report or CD, echo and discharge summaries. The cardiologist will explain the findings and the options so you can decide with confidence.

Do you see children with heart problems?

Yes. Our pediatric cardiologist (DM Pediatric Cardiology, AIIMS Delhi) consults on heart murmurs, congenital heart disease and other heart conditions in children.

Can I consult from outside India?

Yes. Slot times are shown in your local time zone and the fee in your currency. Medicines prescribed by a doctor in India may need a local prescription before a pharmacy abroad will dispense them.
