Online ENT specialist consultation

ENT (ear, nose and throat) specialists treat problems of the ears, nose, sinuses, throat, voice and neck. At VRA Health you can consult an ENT surgeon online about ear pain or discharge, hearing loss, blocked nose and sinusitis, allergies, snoring, recurrent tonsillitis or a hoarse voice.

Our ENT surgeons

Our ENT specialists are qualified ear, nose and throat surgeons:

Conditions we help with

  • Ear pain, ear discharge and repeated ear infections
  • Hearing loss and ringing in the ears (tinnitus)
  • Dizziness and vertigo
  • Blocked nose, sinusitis and nasal allergies
  • Nosebleeds that keep coming back
  • Recurrent tonsillitis and sore throat
  • Snoring, and adenoid problems in children
  • Hoarse voice and swallowing difficulty

What an online consultation can and cannot do

It can: take a detailed history, look at your throat and nose on camera, review hearing tests, endoscopy and CT reports, prescribe treatment and advise whether surgery is needed.

It cannot: look inside the ear with an otoscope or perform endoscopy, hearing tests or procedures; the doctor will advise an in-person visit when these are needed.

How to prepare

  • Hearing test (audiogram), CT or endoscopy reports if available
  • A list of medicines and nasal sprays you are using
  • A torch or phone light to help show your throat on video
  • For children: notes on snoring, mouth breathing and ear infections

Second opinions and patients outside India

Many families use VRA Health for a second opinion before a major decision, or to consult a ENT specialist they trust from abroad. You can share reports, scans and discharge summaries before the call, and the doctor will go through them with you in plain language. Medicines prescribed by a doctor in India may need a prescription from a local doctor before a pharmacy outside India will dispense them.

When to go to a hospital instead

Online consultations are not for emergencies. Go to a hospital at once for difficulty breathing or noisy breathing, drooling and inability to swallow, a nosebleed that does not stop after 20 minutes of pressure, sudden hearing loss in one ear, sudden weakness of one side of the face, or a painful swelling behind the ear with fever. In India call 108 (ambulance) or go to the nearest hospital; abroad, call your local emergency number.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does an ENT doctor treat?

ENT doctors treat ear, nose, sinus, throat, voice and neck problems - from ear infections and hearing loss to sinusitis, tonsillitis, snoring and voice changes.

Can I consult an ENT doctor online?

Yes. Many ENT problems can be assessed from your history, a look at your throat and nose on camera, and your reports. The doctor will tell you if an examination or test in person is needed.

When should I see an ENT doctor for sinusitis?

If symptoms last more than 10 days, keep coming back, or are not improving with treatment, or if you have a blocked nose on one side only.

Does my child need tonsil or adenoid surgery?

Surgery is considered for frequent severe tonsillitis or for large adenoids causing snoring, breathing pauses or ear problems. An ENT surgeon can advise based on your child's history.

Is sudden hearing loss an emergency?

Yes. Sudden hearing loss in one ear needs urgent assessment by an ENT doctor, ideally within a day or two, because early treatment improves recovery.

Can patients outside India consult?

Yes. Slot times are shown in your local time zone.
